Global Health is a concern that KBJ Consulting
takes extremely seriously. We have worked with various
agencies both in United States and abroad on evaluating,
designing and developing programs to prevent and care for
individuals infected with TB, HIV and Malaria. Working in
developing countries different strategies have to be carried
out due the different needs of the population. KBJ Consulting
has been able to do programming that fits the needs of the
client.
KBJ Consulting has been involved and many
major grants both funded privately and nationally on various
global health issue. Writing National Institutes of Health (NIH)
grant proposals as principle investigator has broaden KBJ
Consulting expertise in securing funding for major projects.
Kim Bouldin-Jones is a member of the ERA Commons, for
researchers through NIH.

Curriculum Infusion
Brings HIV/AIDS into the classroom, whether
it is HIV’s impact on Art, History, Science, or Ethics, there
is not a course of study that
can’t have an HIV component used as an example that could have
a double impact on
the students.
Peer Education Groups
Either starting a HIV related peer group, or enhancing
existing groups to have a greater impact on their communities.
Research shows this has the highest affect on behavior change.
Abstinence/ Safer Sex Workshops
Depending on the schools philosophy, workshops can be given to
give students the tools they need to make better choices when
it comes to HIV/STD’s.
HIV Presentations in the Classroom
Educational or Knowledge based discussions about HIV.
Special Events for World AIDS Day
Helping the school develop activities that recognize the
impact HIV has had on the entire world community.
Special Events for National Condom/Testing
Week
Promoting events that encourages students to get tested and
use condoms if they are sexually active.
Have “Safe” Spring/Summer Events
Activities planned around students remember the lessons
learned about HIV/ STD’s during the times they are not on
campus and are in which could put them more at risk.
Faculty Workshops regarding HIV
Training Faculty in HIV 101, helping students make better
choices regarding HIV/STD’s, working with HIV+ students or
becoming resources within their school on HIV/AIDS.
Binge Drinking
Workshops on Binge Drinking and its impact on the school’s
community.
